… (and why you should too).
Every November words like ‘jolly’ and ‘merry’ creep into the nation’s vocabulary. People eagerly await the release of Christmas adverts and decorate their homes in festive hues of red, green, and gold.
For many, Christmas is a time of celebration and joy. But it’s also the time of year when the most vulnerable people in our society need the most support.
Reed.co.uk is proud to support The Big Give – the UK’s largest match funding platform – and The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2022. The Christmas Challenge is a campaign that runs one week per year – and during this time donations to chosen charities are doubled.
This year on 29th November (#GivingTuesday), The Christmas Challenge will officially open and charities will have one week to encourage people to donate.
Charity is needed more than ever this year, as people struggle with the ongoing cost of living crisis. We know times will be tough for lots of families this Christmas – and that’s why we’re encouraging you to give what you can.
Donate on The Big Give’s website here.
If you’re unable to donate; share, like, and comment on social media to spread the word.
You can do this by visiting the following The Big Give social media channels:
Who are The Big Give?
Our founder, Sir Alec Reed, created The Big Give in 2007. He wanted to create a matching platform for charities, funders and the public that multiplied generosity to make a lasting impact in the world, much like how Reed.co.uk matches people to jobs.
What are we doing at Reed.co.uk?
Giving back is a big part of our company culture at Reed.co.uk, and we partner with Big Give during their seasonal campaigns to support charities making a difference. We even share our Covent Garden Headquarters with their team!
Every year our co-members at Reed.co.uk choose a charity to support. This year Magic Breakfast was selected – aiming to end hunger as a barrier to education in UK schools through the provision of healthy breakfasts to children living with food insecurity.
That’s why we’re proudly supporting The Christmas Challenge 2022 – and you’ll hear us shouting about it on our socials.
